Dear Binghamton High School Families,

This morning hateful symbols were found spray painted on several businesses on Main Street in Binghamton, including Binghamton High School. The building was defaced with graffiti that included images of bigotry and anti-Semitism. The police and administration are working together to identify and catch the perpetrators.

Our diversity is a strength for our community. Hate has no place at this school. Symbols of these kind are evil, shameful and stand in opposition to all that we value. At Binghamton High School, we stand for respect and inclusion and are a place where all are free to learn in a safe and welcoming environment.

We worked quickly to remove these vicious symbols of hate. We ask anyone with information about the vandalism to contact the Binghamton Police Department or an administrator at the high school.
